Our Story
Born from the real struggles of student life
Campus Cache was born in a cramped dorm room at Stanford University when our founders realized they had spent over $800 on textbooks they'd only use for one semester. Looking around their dorm, they saw expensive items everywhere – mini-fridges, furniture, electronics – most barely used and destined to be thrown away at semester's end.
The idea was simple: what if students could easily buy, sell, and rent from each other? What if that expensive textbook could help three different students instead of gathering dust on a shelf? What if that formal dress could be rented for a fraction of the purchase price?
Today, Campus Cache continues to grow as we work toward making student life more affordable, sustainable, and connected. Our mission remains unchanged, but our impact grows stronger with every student who joins our community.
